Eden Riegel is an Emmy winning actress who is staring in a new webisodic series called: Imaginary Bitches, written and directed by Andrew Miller. Eden is also known for her role as Bianca Montgomery on the daytime drama All My Children, the first character on day time soap opera that ‘came out’ as a lesbian. Eden also made history when she shared the first lesbian kiss on American daytime television. In this interview Eden shares with us some of her beauty secrets, being part of The World Patrol Kids as a child together with Natalie Portman, and why she is passionate about her new internet series: Imaginary Bitches.

Can you tell us a bit about your acting career so far?
A lot of people know me from a character (Bianca Montgomery) I played on All My Children, Erika Kane’s daughter who made history when she came out of the closet. My character was one of the first core characters in day time television to come out as a lesbian and shared daytime’s first lesbian kiss. I played a role (Sarah The Sophomore Chick) in American Pie. I also have a role in an upcoming Jud Apatow film: Year One. And recently, I have been working on an internet series: Imaginary Bitches.

I keep my hair beautiful thanks to…
I use Kerastase, I’m addicted to it. Wonderful products. I use everything from the whole line. I would never ever use anything else. When I travel I take it with me. The water in New York is so different than in Los Angeles, but it works on both coasts and even abroad. And I just love when my hair is thicker, softer, and much more luminous. My favorite is the ole-relax line, the orange bottles.

My favorite skincare products are…
I recently started using products from Jan Marini and I have never got so many compliments on my skin. She has some wonderful products, such her bioglycolic face wash that I use at night, vitamin C serum, and an anti-aging cream called: The Transformation Cream which is very emollient and lovely.

I get my eyelashes looking long, full, and sexy using…
I love this mascara called: Kiss Me. Other mascaras are too harsh for me, especially the waterproof ones. Kiss Me is water resistant but when you wash your face at night it just comes off so easily, it doesn’t dry out your lashes. Not only Kiss Me mascara makes my lashes thicker and longer but it also helps keep my eye lashes healthy.

The best lip-gloss I ever owned…
I love Pout. I carry it with me everywhere. They have funny names like: Squeeze My Loins, and Fluff My Feathers and, it’s sexy and fun. The colors are very natural but yet give your lips a boost and moist.

My signature fragrance is…
You know, I don’t have one. I never had. I sort of have been on the hunt for it my whole life, and I have never been able to settle on one. I thought, well, when I become an adult I’ll have a signature fragrance. I think I crossed the threshhold to adulthood so I think it is probably time for me start going into that territory. I get tired of them so fast, and my sense of smell is strong, so it has to be something very subtle. Sometimes when I wear it all day, their novelty wears off.

The one beauty product you will always find in my purse is…
Colorscience Sunforgettable SPF 30 Powder. You can carry it in your purse. Even if you are wearing makeup or not, you can put it on with a brush just like you would with any kind of powder. It is 30 SPF and waterproof.

My number one beauty secret is…
I learned this from my grandmother, she is 98 years old, and she is gorgeous. She does all her gardening, cooking, and shopping. And she never ever stops laughing. So my my biggest beauty secret is just to be happy. Happy people age beautifully.

The celebrity I find most beautiful is…
Tina Fay. She makes me laugh, and she is incredibly talented.

How would you describe your own personal style?
Very relaxed. Most of the time I just kick back in very casual comfortable cloths. I love dressing up too, I just have a very classic style. I like to wear the cloths, I don’t like the clothes to wear me. I go for very simple, timeless look. I feel most beautiful in a beautiful white dress, and very little jewelry, or just my jeans and t-shirt.

One or two things some people may not know about me…
I was in an environmental singing group as a child, called: The World Patrol Kids with Natalie Portman. We went around to environmental happenings and sang our songs and spread the word about being green and recycling. Natalie and I went to college together. We were in some of the same groups and organizations in Harvard.

What’s next for Eden…
I would love to continue and be part of Imaginary Bitches. I love it almost more than anything I’ve ever done. It is so wonderful to work with my friends and family on a project I really believe in. I hope we can keep it going. It seems that people are responding to the show, which is incredible, and I hope they keep watching. I would love to go on and do many more seasons of that.
